Classroom Teacher

Oakfield Primary Academy is an incredibly supportive school, with the staff and pupils at the centre of all it does! Every teacher is entitled to the best possible CPD. No teacher is ever left to plan alone. Reducing teacher workload and improving teacher well-being is a priority. Governance arrangements fully support the development of teachers, enabling them to concentrate on teaching and learning.

A high priority is placed on developing the deeper learning of basic skills, whilst at the same time developing a broad and balanced curriculum of foundation subjects. We want our children to fulfil their academic ability but to also be good human beings when they leave us. There are excellent opportunities for future career development across our schools with many staff who have started as support staff and are now in senior leadership positions.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020 and therefore is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure. In line with KCSIE guidance, paragraph 220, all candidates who are shortlisted will be subject to an online search. This search is not part of the shortlisting process itself and all shortlisted candidates will have the opportunity to address any issues of concern resulting from the search.

Two references are also required prior to commencement of employment.
