Our ideal candidate will have the ability to teach a variety of Social Sciences subjects, including:

Social and Cultural Anthropology (IB)
Psychology (IB)
Health and Social Care (BTEC)
Experience with Criminology (Eduqas) and Law (BTEC) would be an advantage, but training will be provided if you need upskilling in the IB programmes.

The successful candidate will receive;

A salary commensurate with the profile of the post;
Bespoke CPD with mentoring and coaching opportunities;
The opportunity to work laterally across a number of Leigh Academies Trust schools to benchmark best practice and to be involved in teaching and learning innovation;
This is a permanent, full-time position offering MPS/UPS based on experience.

 

Working for Strood Academy:  Since opening in 2009, our academy has transformed the educational opportunities and outcomes for girls and boys in Strood. The improvement in academic performance has been driven by a talented and committed workforce, the hard work of our students, and support from parents and our community.  Our new buildings in Carnation Road were designed in partnership with Nicholas Hare and built by BAM as our main contractor at a cost of £26m.
